Hello October + 3 Cute Books

Happy 1st day of October! It’s been a minute since I have been in this space. About a year to be exact! It’s unrealistic to think I could condense a whole year into one post, so I’m not going to even try to do that, haha! I will however share that I have missed this little space and that I am excited that it’s officially Fall. I have been decorating and enjoying the tastes and smells of everything pumpkin and spice. I hope this season is treating you well and that you are finding moments of peace amidst what can be one of the busiest seasons (any soccer parents out there? Haha).

Something my family has been enjoying over the past few years is picking out new books for different seasons. For Fall this year, three books made our list and onto our shelves. I hope you enjoy these, they really are quite special! 🙂

The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt
You know how they say don’t judge a book by its cover? Well, I did, and I am happy to say that this cute and spooky book had me wrapped up in it the moment I saw it on the shelf! The illustration style is so beautiful and I also really love that the author is a textile artist.
Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh
I have very fond memories of watching The Secret of Nimh as a child. So when my husband and I saw this 50th Anniversary Edition we just knew it was meant to come home with us and become a yearly reading tradition with our boys!
Sweep
This is such a special book! I love how the change of seasons relates to how easily our emotional seasons can change as well. My boys really enjoyed the illustrations in this one.
